About Us

Busman Family Farm got its start in the summer of 2020.  Through God's grace, we were able to purchase a local farm from my old 4-H instructor less than a mile from where I grew up, allowing us to move home from downstate.  We are excited to raise our 6 children on our small slice of paradise in Northern Michigan.

In 2020, we made the decision to begin raising sheep, and chose Katahdins as our breed of choice, based on their excellent mothering ability and large frames.   In 2023, we began raising rabbits as another protein source, and have had good success with our Silver Fox and American Chinchillas.
